Here's a recipe for chicken curry:

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Fry until golden brown.
  2. Add minced garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Fry for a minute or until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add chicken pieces and stir to coat with the spices. Cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the chicken is browned on all sides.
  5. Add enough water to cover the chicken and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala powder and salt to taste. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.
